Behind the signature hip-hop sound that emerged in the 90's with iconic West Coast hits like "Gin n Juice" and "California Love" sits Detroit native Edward Tony Green, a bass musician turned record executive known for his role as Founder and CEO of HYPED INTERNATIONAL RECORDS (1991 - ) and as Music Director, Bandleader, Producer, and Talent Scout for DEATH ROW RECORDS (1993-1995), working with artists including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Warren G and more. Prior to the Row, Tony wrote and arranged music for The Dramatics ("California Sunshine", "Do What You Wanna Do"), Five Special ("You're Something Special", "Why Leave Us Alone"), Parliament ("One of Those Funky Thangs") and more, with his original compositions being sampled by artists like 2Pac, Ice Cube, EPMD, Erkyah Badu, Master P, Ruff Ryders, and The Game.
