Behind the signature West Coast hip-hop sound that emerged in the 90's with iconic hits like "Gin n Juice" and "California Love" sits Detroit native Edward Tony Green - a bass musician turned record executive known for his role as Founder and CEO of HYPED INTERNATIONAL RECORDS (1991 - ) and as Music Director, Bandleader, Producer, and Talent Scout for DEATH ROW RECORDS (1993-1995), working with artists including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Warren G and more. Prior to that era, Tony wrote, arranged, and performed music for groups including THE DRAMATICS ("California Sunshine", "Do What You Wanna Do"), FIVE SPECIAL ("You're Something Special", "Why Leave Us Alone"), and PARLIAMENT ("One of Those Funky Thangs"), with his original conpositions being sampled by artists including 2Pac, Ice Cube, EPMD, Erkyah Badu, Master P, Ruff Ryders, and The Game.
